Full Portrait Session

Officiant Service


  • Officiant service available for your elopement or wedding
  • Up to one hour devoted for service

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

All clear/usable images will be returned to the client. A minimum of 30 images are guaranteed for full portrait sessions and weddings. Mini sessions are guaranteed a minimum of 10 images.

How should we dress for our family session?

Dress comfortably and according to weather/conditions. Clients tend to be pleased when they wear colors they normally sport. Casual or dressy-- it's your choice of how you want the aesthetic to be!
Don't forget to style your hair with the wind in mind! Keep a hair tie or clip handy, just in case.

What’s the best time to have a session?

The best times of day for lighting and overall conditions are sunset and sunrise.
Early evening is also manageable, and is sometimes preferable for clients with younger family members.
Midday is generally too bright and hot, which can drastically affect the outcome of the photos and the portrait experience. During the summer months, sessions are not scheduled between 9am and 4pm, with consideration to the health of clients and photographer.

What locations are served?

Corolla to Hatteras, and Roanoke Island-- your photographer travels to you!
Most clients prefer to have their session on the beach/sound near their home. Recommendations can be made for locations near to where you are staying, if client prefers another area or landmark.
For clients staying on the 4x4 region, there are beach and sound side accesses to meet at just before the 4x4 entrance.

Weather conditions/Make up date

One uncontrollable factor-- the weather!
Every effort is made to safely hold the session at the scheduled date and time.
Your photographer keeps a steady eye on the weather forecast, which changes daily here on the Outer Banks.
If conditions warrant changing times, the photographer will reach out to you with options for make up. With this in mind, it works best to schedule earlier in the week to allow for more potential rescheduling days.

When should we expect our gallery?

Every effort is made to return the client gallery as quickly as possible! During the busy summer months, it can take up to eight weeks for gallery delivery.
